Ghouls Ghouls Ghouls.......

"Ghouls, Ghouls, Ghouls", Victoria Laurie
 ★ ★ ★

M.J. et. al. are in Ireland, a castle a top a huge rock...across a causeway which can only be  crossed at low tide....   And, the PHANTOM, Oh, Yes, A BIG BLACK MEAN PHANTOM....more nasty than anything she's ever come up before.

There are ghosts of the castle.... nice ghosties, as ghosties go, there's a cranky ghostie, and there are those ghosts of the people who were killed by the phantom, who are still reliving the terror of their deaths by the PHANTOM, one of which is still calling to Alex for help.

There is gold hidden in the castle..... The PHANTOM is a current development...in the past twenty years.....

What to do?  Get rid of the PHANTOM for the newest installment of the Ghostbusters t.v. show...... But the Producer/Director of the show goes missing and that leaves M.J. et. al. to deal with the PHANTOM, while not only searching for the P.D., but the missing treasure as well.

"Why only 3 stars?", you ask.  Of all the books this was the lease credible, and the ongoing problem of that OVER-Stereotypical Silly Flaming Drama Queen, Gilley, M.J.'s childhood friend & business partner.  His uncalled for histrionics just RUINS the entire book for me.....  The author needs to fix that boy with intense intervention & therapy..... His continuous temper tantrums get in the way of an otherwise good story.

"Ghouls, Ghouls Ghouls" is number 5 in Victoria Laurie's Ghost Hunter Series and so far I'd say it has to be my least favorite..... My favorite being the 2nd

The series in order:

"What's a Ghoul to Do?"
"Demons Are a Ghoul's Best Friend"
"Ghouls Just Haunt to Have Fun"
"Ghouls Gone Wild"
"Ghouls, Ghouls, Ghouls"

If you can get past the frustration of the Idiodic Gilley Gillespie (described above), then you might enjoy the series.....  I'm learning to skim over the parts with Gilley in them, they only anger me that I should be wasting time reading about foolishness.

Aside from Gilley, the books are interesting, fast, easy to read and filled with interesting facts about ghosts, hauntings, and real life ghostbusters' the tools of the trade.
